October 8th-9th 2010 the Art of Giving is hosting the largest ever sale of art for charity at the Saatchi Gallery London.
Franco DiCesare will be one of several artists exhibiting their work at the Saatchi Gallery in London.
The exhibition features sculpture, installations and paintings by over sixty contemporary artists. The works have been selected by a panel that includes representatives from the Tate, Frieze magazine and London galleries Scream and FAS London. Gavin Turk, Terry O’Neill, Steve Goddard, Tony Heywood, Alexa Meade, Dominique Besner and Zak Ove are among the contributing artists. The works are sold by silent auction: Buyers put in a private bid for a work of art, to be advised after the show closes if they have been successful. In addition, there is a presentation of works by the thirty finalists of the Art of Giving international art competition.
The event is organised specifically to raise funds for thirteen charities that are running life-changing and life-saving projects, and struggling to survive the recession. It is supported by the Chelsea Football Club, and celebrities from the worlds of fashion, film and television, many of whom are participating in the show. An installation made by members of Chelsea football team will be revealed on October 7th. Charlotte Dellal, Terry de Havailland, Vic Reeves, Derren Brown are among the stars who are showing off their talents in the visual arts.Click for Tickets
